HELENA CHEU

Helena Cheu holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Laurentian University and Grade 9 Piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music. She is currently completing a Masters degree in Composition from the University of Ottawa under the tutelage of Robert Rival. She has been teaching classical piano, musical theatre, guitar, ukulele and voice since 2019. In 2024, she was the vocal director of a production of High Society and the music director of a variety of new Canadian musicals in Kingston. She has a mastery in musical theatre repertoire through her key experience for musicals such as The Beauty and the Beast and Ride the Cyclone.

Music is such an integral part of the human experience, whether it's enjoying a tune with a cup of coffee or playing guitar with your buddies around a campfire. The best time to begin learning an instrument is during childhood, and the second best time is now.
